There is a livestream today at 10amPST, 1pm EST for Kunark Ascending, the new expansion.
This post is both to let people know about the livestream as well as a placeholder for a recap of Expansion news once the livestream releases.

Current Raid Info:
Some quick basic info:
Number of raid zones this expansion: 7 Number of bosses: 30+ Access quests? Some yes. Some are gated behind killing other encounters, earning specific items, or having specific abilities. The further you get into content the more strict the requirements to enter.
Current Zone list minus one surprise one.
Arcanna'se Spire: Order and Chaos [Raid] - Tier 1-2 (This will likely be the open raid zone) Lost City of Torsis: Ashiirian Court [Raid] - Tier 1-3 Crypt of Dalnir: The Kly Stronghold [Raid] - Tier 1-3 Ruins of Kaesora: Ancient Xalgozian Temple [Raid] - Tier 1-3 Vaedenmoor, Realm of Despair [Raid] - Tier 1-4 Vaedenmoor, Heart of Nightmares [Raid] - Tier 3-4 Super Secret Surprise Zone! [Raid] - Tier 4
Resolve values base on Tier: Tier 1: 375 (This is actually lower than current content's higher difficulty bosses and is intentionally lower to allow casual guilds that cannot bring full raid forces a chance to have raid content at a lower resolve requirement. This value is assuming you have 80% of your gear from heroic KA zones, heroic mount, and at least 18 members in your raid) Tier 2: 515 (This value is assuming you have 80% of your gear from heroic (tier2/3) and/or raid tier1 gear from KA zones, heroic mount, and at least 22 members in your raid) Tier 3: 590 (This value is assuming you have at least 50% of your gear from raid tier2 gear from KA zones, heroic mount, and at least 24 members in your raid) Tier 4: 620 (This value is assuming you have at least 50% of your gear from raid tier3 gear from KA zones, heroic mount, and at least 24 members in your raid)

Basic Tradeskill Info:
Highlights of tradeskill content in Kunark Ascending:
- Essentials and Advanced recipes for all 9 primary tradeskill classes
- All crafting classes can unlock recipes to make equipment for mercenaries, reconstructed infusers, and spirit stones
- Scholars make spellscrolls for the new Ascension classes: sages make etherealist and elementalist spells, jewelers make geomancy spells, and alchemists make thaumaturgist spells.
- Tons of new quests - 45 so far and that's not counting repeatable missions
- New signature questline, which will reward you with (among other things) a new pretty thing to wear - Gnobrin has outdone himself!
- New factions to win the trust of, including some that are exclusive to crafters
- [still to come, later in beta] Optional side mini questline will allow you to convert your gathering goblin to a gardening goblin, who will help you grow rare harvests from Obulus Frontier in your home.
- There are no new common harvests; instead, Obulus Frontier has a single rare harvest node, the shadeweave plant. When you see this plant, you know you'll get a rare!
In order to scribe a new recipe, you have to have all the previous tiers for that book (Journeyman, Adept, Expert, Master, Ancient)

Changes all non-weapon damage to disease
Included non-limited verdict, a short duration DP, auto-attack debuff, aoe, and small heal (along with damage)
*Good for everyone, but tanks most of all

Geomancer:
Changes non-weapons into crushing
Can stun, root, and daze EPIC targets for significant periods. Also gets temporary immunity to those +fear, and decreases physical damage (along with damage)
*Must have for raid fights???

Straight damage and dps buffs, including one buff at level 10 that increases group pot but drains power
*Good for everyone, but specifically T1 dpsers take first?

Every toon that wants to do the new signature line will need to complete the old Greenmist Timeline signature line. Toons will also need to have done their epic weapon timeline (just the heroic, not raid version) before they can start the Epic 2.0 timeline.

All the Ascension master NPCs are located in Obulus Frontier. You cannot see them until you have completed the signature line.
