re: Guild Promotions

So you are asking yourself, I want to be a Lord or Lady (senior officer) in this guild, how can I do that?

You must follow the below progression though our guild.

Time and status points are used for rank progression.

Each character must progress by its self. If you have two or more characters in the guild, each one must earn its own way in the guild as far as promotions go.

Also being on the core raid group allows some exceptions to these rules. See Raid with Grenricks for details

Soldier
Requirements: Get an invite to guild

Benefits:

1. Partake in Contest, Raids, HQ runs, and any other guild events

(Recruit-Soldier) Information: When you get invited to the guild you are (Recruit-Soldier). Soldiers do not get access to guild bank, or to the guild library or the city merchants in other words, you cannot buy status items from city merchants. But you can partake in Contest, Raids, HQ runs and all the other fun things we do here. This 2 week time is considered a trial period. After two weeks you will get your first promotion to:

Captain
Requirements: 2 weeks time in guild.

Benefits:

1. Everything below this rank
2. Ask officer or above for items in Guild Bank that you can use
3. Ask "Holy's" for books that you can use from the guild library. (Note: You must send a book/scroll of equal value in exchange)

(Initiate-Captain) Information: So you made it 2 weeks. You have survived all the bad jokes and various shenanigans of your fellow guild mates. You still do not have access to the guild bank, but you can now ask a Count or Countess (officer) or above for an item from the bank. You can also use the guild library as long as you send in a book or scroll in return for the o¬ne you are getting.

Marshall
Requirements: 2 weeks time in guild and 500 status points.

Benefits:

1. Everything below this rank.
2. Use the guild library without sending a book or scroll in return.
3. Request a Character Profile to be placed on the guild web site for everyone to see.

(Junior Member-Marshall) Information: Want to skip over Captain and go right to a (Junior Member-Marshall)? Get 500 status points under your belt, (and 2 weeks). If you are asking yourself what is Status and where do I get them? Click here. What benefits are there to being a Marshall? You can now access the guild library without having to send a book in return. But we still strongly suggest you take care of your fellow guild mates, like they are taking care of you. Also, you can request your own Character Profile to be placed o¬n the guild web page for everyone to see. To see Character Portraits click here.

Noble
Requirements: 3 weeks time and 1000 status points

Benefits:

1. Everything below this rank.
2. Take 3 items out of Guild bank slot 4.
3. Take 3 items out of Guild bank slot 3.
4. Take 3 items out of Guild bank slot 2.
5. Purchase City status items.

(Member-Noble) Information: Now we are talking. You need 1000 status points and 3 weeks in the guild for this rank. You can now pull up to 3 items out of slot 1, 2 and 3. Remember, those items must be usable by your character. You cannot pull stuff out of the guild bank for your friend to use or for one of your alts unless they are in the guild. Make sure you view the Guild bank area for rules on the guild bank. People have had their heads chopped off for stealing from the guild bank before, we don't want this to happen to you.

Duke or Duchess

1. Everything below this rank
2. Take 5 items out of Guild bank slot 4.

(Senior Member); This is a very proud rank to be, a milestone for the proud members that have reached this point. 10,000 status points and 6 weeks time are needed in guild. At this rank you can ask for access to the supply depot for crafting. Be on the lookout for officers or above keeping their eye on you. The next step takes some doing. You do not just become an officer in this guild. We are looking for good peeps that help out there fellow guild mates. People that are friendly and bring up the best that this guild has to offer to the table.

Count or Countess
Requirements: 3 months in guild and 25,000 status points. 4 officers or senior officers must vote you in.

6. Placing a chair in the Guild hall of honor. (this is required before Promotion)
7. Voting in Guild changes and events.
8. Placed on Friends list in the Guild Hall
9. All Alts of officers get promoted to Duke or Duchess (Senior Member)
10. Invite other people to the Guild.

(Officer-Count or Countess) Information. 3 months in the guild and 25,000 guild status points is required for this rank, but you don't just become an officer, you must be sponsored or voted in. You need to prove your metal by being helpful in the guild and going the extra mile for your fellow guild mates. You need to find 4 other officers or senior officers willing to vote for you to become an officer. Without these 4 (Officers/Sr. Officers) you cannot be promoted. So start talking to other Officers and send in-game mail to Grenrick stating that you want to be put up for officer if you want to be considered.

The Guild leaders Baron Grenrick and Baroness Susann cannot sponsor you.

Current officers that have more than 2 characters that are officers or above can only be counted as one sponsor.

Here are the good things that happen when you become an officer. You have the honor of making a chair, and have this placed at the guild hall for everyo¬ne to see. All officer alts do not need to meet any requirements to use the Guild library. You are placed on friends list in the guild hall. Have officer chat enabled. Officers are also encouraged to pitch in for the guild upkeep. (This is not a rule, but a suggestion). We also ask officers to lead an event once every month. (Contest, HQ run, Raid run, etc) Officers need to have all their characters claimed on the guild web site.

*******Warning. Once you have become an officer if you decide in the future to leave us and join another guild you will need to remove all your character from the guild as well. This includes characters on all of your accounts. When you become an officer please mark all characters are yours under the guild windlow. Please do not take officership lightly in Grenricks. It holds allot of benefits and should be taken seriously*******

Officers and above are expected to lead the guild and be active in the guild.

Once one of your characters has reached this rank, other characters of yours as long as they meet the time and status point requirements can be promoted without being sponsored

Lord or Lady
Requirements: 6 months in guild and 50,000 status points. 6 senior officers and or leaders must vote you in.

Benefits:

1. Everything below this rank
2. They have the honor of placing their officer chair and table item at the Table of Honor in guild hall.

This is the highest rank you can go in Grenricks. It is the top of the heap, the cream of the crop, the best of the best. What's needed? Six months in guild, and 50,000 status points and 6 Senior Officers and or the two leaders must sponsor you and approve your nomination. They get the honor of placing their officer chair and table item around the Table of Honor. You also get everything below this rank. Senior Officers are also encouraged to pitch in for guild upkeep. We also ask all senior officer to lead an event once ever month. (Contest, HQ run, Raid run, etc)

Once one of your characters has reached this rank, other characters of yours as long as they meet the time and status point requirements can be promoted without being sponsored

Lost Warriors and notes

Every character that is offline for 120 days will be removed from the guild. We salute all the Lost Warriors out there and welcome them back any time.

Every Officer or Senior Officer that has been offline for more than 60 days will be demoted back to Senior Member and must then go through the sponsorship process again.

If you have to go away for any reason your character can be locked at their current rank. We have keep good peeps in the guild for years because they are serving their country or are having medical issues or whatever reason. Just talk to the guild leaders if you need your character locked. Your guild family will be here when you get back. If on the other hand you just stop playing and vanish, your character will be removed based upon the times above.

The rank of Baron and Baroness (guild leaders) cannot be reached by anyone in the guild. These are Grenrick’s and Susann’s main characters rank. It was decide when the guild was first formed only these two characters will have this rank. Even Grenrick’s and Susann’s Alt characters cannot reach the rank of guild leaders. This will forever keep the guild safe and is the one rule that can never change. Please note. It’s the officers and senior officers that lead this guild. With guild decisions its majority vote of the officers or senior officers that decides the outcome.
